I know...I have a LOT of blogging (catching up) to do!

I've been blaming my lack of blogging on the very slow Internet connection here, but it shouldn't actually have kept me from writing. The slow connection is due, I believe, to what appears to be an almost full RV park, lot's of wind and rain and cold, thus EVERYONE and their brother trying to use the Internet at the same doggone time! When it's warm and sunny, we try to get out and RIDE or hang out on the beach or do SOMETHING. I get on this computer almost every day and check my MySpace, Facebook, email, do maintenance on websites I've made for other people, read blogs I follow and by then HOURS have gone by and I'm too tired (or too lazy) to think clearly enough to write anything, SO, here I am telling you all that I'm going back about a month or so and will be posting LOTS of photos of our adventures here in Port Aransas as my slow Internet connection allows. Heck, I haven't even gone back yet to update my previous blogs...oh well, I hope that gives you all something to look forward to. By the way, I sure do enjoy reading other's blogs!

Tuesday, January 5, 2010 - Lunch with new friends... (Click on a photo if you want to view a larger version of it)

Following in our truck behind Lynn and Ken, Marjie and Paul...on our way to lunch (from Port Aransas to just north of Rockport):

At the Chinese Buffet just north of Rockport:

It was already dark when we drove onto the ferry to go back to Port Aransas. After a nice visit and lunch at a Chinese Buffet with our new friends, we said our "see ya laters" to them and we went shopping in Rockport for some milk, bread and other necessities and then looked for a couple of new fishing poles. Ours are getting pretty worn and one of them is broken, which we hadn't realized when we packed it for this trip. We found two that we liked, but then William found some today right here in Port Aransas that he likes much better, and assures me that I'll like them too. His face was all happy and his eyes were lit up! He's going to show them to me tomorrow (I was sleeping when he went to the fishing tackle shop). What a sweetheart!

New blogger here...(advice? suggestions? please)

We're new to blogging here, so it may take a little while to get the ball rolling. Thought it would be a good idea to learn how to use this website before we start our travels sometime in the late fall or early winter. Looks like there's a LOT to learn, like how to upload photos, videos and such.
William doesn't care to use the computer except to look at what I pull up on it occasionally, so I'll be doing the posting. Thank you in advance for your patience. I'll try to stay as up to date as possible. We haven't even bought the RV yet, so we are truly starting this adventure at the very beginning. So far, we have looked at (and liked very much) a 2009 Forest River "Work and Play" Travel Trailer Toy Hauler...but it was sold while we've been dealing with some health issues, so now the dealer says that he can have a 2010 built for us, but we don't know yet.
Have to see the new specs first.
